Fishing On Padre Island
North Padre Island and the surrounding waters offer some of the best
saltwater fishing there is. Whether it's wade fishing the flats, surf fishing
from the beach or heading offshore into the Gulf of Mexico, Padre Island Texas
offers it all.
Wade fishing
The flats of the Laguna Madre have miles of
shallow, grassy flats teaming with Redfish, Speckled Trout and other
species. The flats are accessible by boat, kayak and vehicle. Wade
fishing offers one of the past fishing experiences on North Padre.
Jetty Fishing
The Packery Channel Jetties and Mustang
Island State Park both have jetties that allow fishermen to
walking access to fish the Gulf of Mexico.

Pier Fishing
Another alternative is Bob Hall Pier at
Padre Balli Park or Horace Caldwell Pier in Port Aransas at IB
Magee Park. Sharks, tarpon, Spanish mackerel, redfish and
other species are often caught from these waters.

Channel. Charter Boats and guides are available in Port Aransas
Surf Fishing
Setting up for a day of fishing on the
beach has long been a favorite approach to enjoying the day. The
beaches of along Mustang and North Padre Island provide some of
the best there is. A trip into
Padre Island National Seashore provides a
unique adventure that will be a memory no matter what the
outcome.
